Dpt is a studio which creates interactive experiences across virtual and physical spaces.

During my time at Dpt, I worked on projects for clients and organizations like Meta, Felix & Paul, Jeld-Wen, Mandai Wildlife Reserve, and Calgary Stampede.

My major project was leading the technical pipeline for Space Explorers, an Unreal VR production for Felix & Paul. I authored master shaders for environmental elements like the ISS and various VFX, which meant producing low-cost materials on a mobile render pipeline that maintained the aesthetic targets for a major production. I also produced VFX for things like navigation and UX feedback, cutscenes, tutorials, XR transitions between in-game and passthrough content, and other stylized elements in the title's scenes.

During that time, I also worked directly with the client, understanding the project's requirements, developing artistic concepts, and mapping those ideas to concrete designs. I also managed two other artists (technical and VFX) to help them grow their technical expertise in their respective areas of work.

Beyond Space Explorers, I contributed to a large scale multi-installation exhibit (87 interactive installations!) at Mandai Wildlife Reserve in Singapore, where I made particle systems and shaders in Unity for environments and UX feedback.

I built character rigs for an interactive exhibit for Calgary Stampede and a web AR project for Jeld-Wen, where I also worked on Maya rigging tools for automating control rigs and helper bones.

Between major projects, I optimized topology and UVs across assets for various other productions, and I even got to work with some really fun and... promise you won't tell anyone... unreleased hardware.
